Level: Postgraduate coursework
Surgical training in New South Wales is provided under the auspices of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS). The Doctor of Clinical Surgery program is designed to be undertaken in conjunction with the RACS Surgical Education and Training (SET) program to augment research, leadership and communication skills.
This new program in clinical surgery at Sydney Medical School is taught through clinical and non-clinical coursework and research. If you have already completed surgical training in Australia or a recognised surgical training program elsewhere, you may benefit from undertaking a doctorate for its further non-clinical study opportunities and development of research skills.
