Marine Science and Management

The Sydney Marine Science and Management program is comprised of the Master of Marine Science and Management, Graduate Diploma in Marine Science and Management, and Graduate Certificate in Marine Science and Management.

The program offers a unique opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge in a range of marine science and management disciplines including units in the science and management of coasts, marine ecology and conservation, coral reefs, climate change, oceanography (physical, geological and biological) and engineering (coastal and marine).

The program has been developed in collaboration with the Sydney Institute of Marine Science, the University of Technology, Sydney, Macquarie University, and the University of New South Wales. You will undertake core units at the University of Sydney, and have the opportunity to take elective units at one of our partner universities.

Topics include coastal management, modelling, geographic information systems, ecological statistics, remotely sensed data analysis and environmental law amongst others.
