Master of Agriculture

Level: Postgraduate coursework

The Master of Agriculture is focused on providing you with the knowhow and skills to tackle and create solutions to the most challenging questions of our time. How will we feed the world, especially when climates and the availability of precious resources such as water are changing constantly? In thinking about how to feed the world, how can we produce nutritious food and high quality fibre without degrading environmental values such as the quality of soil, water and the Earth's atmosphere? Are we able to use our agricultural and mineral resources in a sustainable way and to balance or sequester our greenhouse gas emissions? And how can we use markets and other economic and global policy instruments to help us achieve these goals and more?

The program offers challenging core units of study, integral fieldwork study, and the opportunity to complete a project under the supervision of leading researchers.
