Teaching and Learning in Early Childhood 2 (EDMT5123)


This unit builds on students' understandings of human development and their knowledge of the sociocultural factors which impact the social, emotional and academic outcomes of infants, toddlers and young children. The unit focuses on the pedagogies associated with supporting, nurturing and teaching children from birth to five years. It highlights the importance of quality interactions, high expectations and intentional teaching as key bases for enhancing children's development in group settings.
