Teaching and Learning (EDMT5500)

This unit provides an introduction to the relationship between teaching and learning. Through in-school observations and extensive reading pre-service teachers/school counsellors will gather a range of information to be analysed to build profiles of students and schools.  Drawing on these profiles the unit will explore the complexity of pedagogy and decision making involved in matching pedagogy to students. EDMT5500 draws pre-service teachers/school counsellors into the role of active learner, enabling them to directly experience the teaching and learning under exploration.
