EDMT5600

In every school in NSW there are students who are learning English as an additional language or dialect. These students may be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island backgrounds, from bilingual/ bicultural backgrounds, refugee, migrant or international students. This unit explores the language demands of different subject areas and how to support students' language and literacy development. It looks at strategies for moving from everyday to academic school language.
