Digital Media in the Classroom (EDMT6008)

This special interest unit provides students with an overview of some key principles for teaching and using digital media in the K-6 classroom. Digital media is part of the larger social and cultural experiences for most primary school students. Students need to be able to understand, enjoy, as well as critique and create what they see, hear and consume. By considering some of the concepts around new literacies and multiliteracies, the unit will then contextualise the development of participants' technical skills using various software.
