This unit of study aims to prepare graduates for teaching Stages 4 & 5 Aboriginal Studies in NSW secondary schools. Through the development of units of work, assessment tasks, resources and field studies, students will develop teaching and learning strategies to explore local Aboriginal community knowledge that reflects the diversity, vibrancy and resilience of Aboriginal peoples and cultures in todays society. This will support graduates in becoming multi-skilled, adaptable and pro-active critical thinkers and educators of the future.
