Project Management in Practice (INFS6030)

Drawing upon the knowledge and skills developed from other units in the project management specialisation, this unit examines the different requirements for strategy and operations oriented projects. It is designed to enhance understanding and experience of real work projects through undertaking structured assessments of historical projects in a variety of contexts based upon the components of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Students also learn how PMBOK is applied currently in industry - including a presentation from a project management expert practitioner. The unit culminates in the development of a project charter and undertaking project planning in a business setting of relevance to student interests.
