Critical Practice in Media (MECO3609)

UNIT OF STUDY

This unit of study is designed to draw together the key elements of theoretical and practical knowledge and skills that students have acquired in their media and communications studies. It aims to assist students to consolidate their critical understanding of and engagement with the multidisciplinary field of communication studies and the multidimensional field of media practices. Students will identify key debates around the relationship between theory and practice and demonstrate an awareness of how critical thinking and media production are capable of informing each other in practice.
