Microbiology Honours A (MICR4011)


Students enrolled in the Honours program study various advanced aspects of Microbiology. Students undertake a research project, complete coursework relating to the critical evaluation of scientific literature and biostatistics, and attend seminars.

Additional Information

Department permission required for enrolment. Entry into the School Honours program normally requires a credit average in a major relevant to the chosen project or relevant 24 credit points of senior study. The School will consider entry by students who do not have this requirement if their overall academic performance indicates an equivalent performance in other subject areas or if their SCIWAM exceeds 65.

Non-award/non-degree study

If you wish to undertake one or more units of study (subjects) for your own interest but not towards a degree, you may enrol in single units as a non-award student.

Cross-institutional study

If you are from another Australian tertiary institution you may be permitted to underake cross-institutional study in one or more units of study at the University of Sydney.
