Interactive Media Practice Seminar 2 (MMDE5012)


This unit provides you with further technical skills related to the design and development of websites and interactive applications for handheld devices such as the iPad. This is done through the lecture-based presentation of technical examples that are supported by in-class exercises.
You will learn to extend the possibilities of scripting for interactivity using HTML5 and JavaScript in relation to the touch screen environment. This series of workshops also covers the specifics of media preparation for hand-held interactive tablets with lectures dedicated to digital sound and video production and delivery.
You are expected to apply the knowledge gained in this unit to the design and development of their major project in MMDE5002 Interactive Project Major 2.

Further unit of study information


1x1-hour lecture and 1x2 hourr tutorial/week


1x15min oral examination of presentation of major studio project (60%) and completion of a HTML5 micro-site (30%) and participation in class exercises (10%)
