It covers the creation and use of genome assemblies and genetic maps; single-locus disorders; chromosomal abnormalities; non-Mendelian familial disorders; immunogenetics; parentage tests; conservation genetics; genetic variation in pests, parasites and pathogens; genetic and environmental control of inherited diseases; relationship and inbreeding; heritability; breed history and structure; selection and crossing; genetics of coat colours.
