If your disability puts you at a disadvantage when undertaking the assessable* components of your studies (exams, assignments, presentations etc), you may be eligible to seek an ‘adjustment’ to minimise the impact of your disability.
Adjustments may include extra time to complete a task, use of a computer instead of writing by hand, undertaking a presentation separately, and exploring different formats of presenting assessable work.
Adjustments are determined after review of supporting documentation and consultation with a Disability Services Officer. Consultation with your faculty may also be required to ensure that the academic integrity of the course is maintained and equity of the student body is observed.
Attendance is not included in this definition of assessable component. Please refer to the Managing your studies page for more information.
