There is a range of lecture support options for students who have difficulty taking their own notes during a lecture or accessing the lecture material in its current format, such as lecture recording, loans of recording devices, the Peer Notetaking Service, and Remote Live Capturing.
At your registration consultation with a Disability Services Officer, the best option for you will be determined.
Students in receipt of Lecture Support are reminded of the following:
- lecture support does not replace attendance at lectures
- recordings or notes are provided based on need, and are not to be distributed publicly
More information is available for students interested in becoming a peer notetaker.
Hearing Augmentation in Lecture Theatres
Lecture theatres are outfitted with Hearing Augmentation Systems to support students with hearing impairment. Some venues will be set up with Hearing Induction Loops and some with an Infrared System. Check this list to determine which system supports your venue.
Students who need to use the Infrared System will need to request to loan an Infrared Receiver Pack from Disability Services. Please contact your Disability Officer for more information.
