There are a number of ways to get involved with volunteering at Sydney.
Compass – find your way to higher education
The Compass project aims to encourage primary and secondary school children to stay in school and go on to study at university. Student volunteers are asked to bring their skills, enthusiasm and energy to this grassroots volunteer program. Full training is provided.
Have a look at the Volunteer for Research Studies page or keep an eye out for Student News in your student inbox each week, where academics, postgraduate students and research units post volunteer opportunities for a broad range of research projects.
University of Sydney Union Volunteer Program
Join the USU's V Team to have fun, make new friends, give back to your community and develop your personal and professional skills. The V Team is involved in all USU festivals throughout the year, a high school tutoring program as well as community volunteer events.
Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience
Alumnus Jack Manning Bancroft set up the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME) during his student days to encourage Indigenous students to go on to higher education and complete their studies with the support of a mentor. Take part in encouraging widening participation in higher education.
