Go 'Into the wild' at O-Week!

O-Week 2014

Wednesday 26 – Friday 28 February

O-Week is run by the University of Sydney Union (USU) and is the best way to kick start your time at Sydney University. It brings you the best of student life across three epic days of parties, events, clubs and societies, food, music and performance.

In 2014, O-Week is going ‘Into the Wild’ transforming the main campus into a wilderness setting Bear Grylls would appreciate. The Main Stage, dubbed “Base Camp”, features the best in live music, comedy, performance and debate.

Our O-Week events line-up is bigger and better than ever. Opening night at Manning Bar will host Let The Wild Rumpus Start – think Jurassic Lounge meets Where The Wild Things Are. We will have DJs, face-paint and onesies in store. Monkey Business – O-Week’s comedy night – will feature Australia’s leading comedians who will have you in stitches on the second night. But we’re saving the best for last. Animalia – this year’s band night – will close O-Week with a first-rate set you will never forget.

O-Week is also the perfect time to join one (or 10!) of the 200 student-run clubs and societies – just grab an ACCESS Card from the tent on Eastern Avenue and get ready to properly say hello to uni life.

With your ACCESS Card you can also:

  • Get more involved in uni life with cheap tix to parties, events and festivals
  • Learn life skills employers look for with our student leadership programs
  • Apply for business and creative grants that help get your idea off the ground
  • Get cheaper stuff with on and off campus discounts on food, fashion, entertainment, travel and more!
