The University of Sydney NSW 2006.
Throughout the year the University will send important information to your preferred correspondence address. If you do not keep these details up to date, you may be disadvantaged. Please ensure that your phone numbers are also current. The University may use your mobile phone number (for example) in an emergency.
If you update your contact details by mail or in person, and you provide more than one address, you are also required to nominate your preferred correspondence address.
You must know your UniKey and password
When you enrol at Sydney you will be issued with a UniKey and password, which is your personal key to access the online services and electronic facilities provided to students.
For more information see page 19 of the 2012 Student Guide (PDF).
You must check your Sydney Mail email address regularly
When you enrol at Sydney you will be issued with a Sydney Mail email account with the address format of unikey@uni.sydney.edu.au
For more information see page 19 of the 2012 Student Guide (PDF).
You must read all correspondence from the University, by email and mail, and respond as required
Failure to read and respond where necessary to formal University communication could mean that you fail to correctly maintain your enrolment, which may lead to unnecessary financial and/or academic liability. This can be easily avoided by reading all emails and letters from the University.
If you receive official communication from the University that you do not understand, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do what we can to assist.
See page 32 of the 2012 Student Guide (PDF) for faculty contact details.
See page 50 of the 2012 Student Guide (PDF) for the Student Centre contact details.
A list of important correspondence you can expect to receive from the University throughout the year is included on page 11 of the 2012 Student Guide (PDF).
