Deferment Of Enrolment (UAC Offers) 2014 - Domestic students
Deferment of enrolment is available to UAC applicants who have received an offer of enrolment to the University of Sydney and have completed the NSW HSC (or equivalent interstate or overseas exam) in 2013. Application for deferment is via an online application form. Upon completion of the form, you will be given a confirmation that your application has been submitted. Once your deferment application has been processed by the University, you will be sent an email message confirming your deferment approval, usually 4 to 5 working days after submission of your deferment application.
Current school-leavers: proceed to the online deferment form (not available until January 2014)
If you are the authorised agent of a current school-leaver (as defined above) you may use the online form to apply for deferment on behalf of the applicant. If you are the applicant's UAC agent (as recorded by UAC) you can submit the online form without any additional documentation. If you have some other form of authorisation to act on the applicant's behalf, and you submit an online deferment application, you will also need to post or fax a copy of your letter of authorisation together with a Deferment authority cover sheet (pdf). (not available until January 2014)
Authorised agents of current school-leavers: proceed to the online deferment form (not available until January 2014)
If you are not a current school-leaver (as defined above), you can only apply for deferment if you can demonstrate that there has been an extreme and/or unpredictable change to your circumstances since you made your UAC application. Please use the Deferment application form (pdf) (not available until January 2014) and not the online form, if you wish to make a deferment application. Submission details are on the form.
