Paying fees

Your Student Financial Statement will be available to view online through Sydney Student at the beginning of each semester. Payment is due no later than the due date noted on this Statement. If you do not pay your fees by this date it may result in the cancellation of your enrolment.

Payment methods

Use one of the following methods to make payment of your fees:

Pay by BPAY

You will need your 13 digit Customer Reference Number (CRN) to pay by BPAY. You can obtain your CRN by logging in to Sydney Student (go to 'My Finance', then 'Your finances' then 'Payment methods').

Pay securely through your financial institution.

Pay online

You can use MasterCard and Visa by logging in to Sydney Student (go to 'My Finance', then 'Your finances', then 'Payment methods' then 'Pay Online').

Pay in overseas currency at www.pay24-7.com/sydneyuni. Select 'Credit Card' or 'Bank to Bank' and enter your family name, date of birth, and student number.

Pay by phone

You can use MasterCard and Visa only. We do not accept American Express or Diners cards. Call 1300 732 076 and enter your student number when prompted.

Pay by mail

Payment by mail is restricted to cheque, draft or money order made payable to 'The University of Sydney'. Mail your payment to:

Pay with Western Union by bank transfer, or credit card (Visa or MasterCard).

Pay by mail

Mail by bank draft, Australia Post Money Order, or a personal cheque (must be drawn on an Australian bank and made out to The University of Sydney). Please send to:

Please note: The University of Sydney does not accept bank to bank transfers, please use the alternative payment methods mentioned above.

Payments received normally take up to five (5) business days to be processed and reflected in Sydney Student on the ‘My Finances’ tab.

For tuition fee payments due dates for continuing students, please click here. A late fee of $200 will be charged if you do not pay the full amount of your tuition fees by the due date.

If you are unable to pay the full amount of your fees due, by the due date, you may apply for an extension or instalment plan by logging in to Sydney Student (go to ‘My Finances’). A $100 instalment fee applies. You should expect to receive an outcome within three (3) business days.
