New format 2012
In recognition of the feedback from past attendees a fifth day will be added to the course in 2012. The extra day will comprise lectures dedicated to complex rehabilitation cases requiring interdisciplinary management. Presenters will be those clinicians directly involved in the patient's treatment.
The extra day will be open to everyone and is particularly suited to past attendees of the course.
A revised program will be available in late January 2012 with full information on attendance options and prices.
Overview
Extended Fixed Prosthodontics (EFP) comprises lectures and clinical simulation practice at Sydney Dental Hospital (SDH). The course is suitable for dentists who would like to update their clinical and scientific knowledge base, revisit formal training or consolidate their professional experience in fixed prosthodontics. EFP focuses on planning, procedures and management of common clinical scenarios*. Our presenters offer a broad range of clinical, technical and research experience. Sessions are integrated for direct application of lecture theory and procedural information to clinical simulation practice. Ample time for discussion of specific cases is available throughout the course, including a dedicated session for participant-requested topics.
* This course does not include full-mouth reconstruction topics.
