Extended Fixed Prosthodontics 1 - Monday 26 to Friday 30 September 2016

Overview

Extended Fixed Prosthodontics 1 is the most comprehensive short course in prosthodontics in Australia for dentists in general practice. Participants are able to record 40 CPD hours.

Our curriculum in 2016 will retain the core stock of everyday practice lecture topics, and new Panel Discussions provide attendees with an interactive insight into the clinical decisions of several specialists simultaneously. The 2016 program offers over 18 hours of clinical simulation practice for dentists, with both traditional and innovative techniques in clinical practice are covered in detail. An expanded range of practical session exercises also features this year, including an aesthetic diagnostic restoration concept which may be applied in clinical practice the very first day after the course.

The course is convened by Dr Ken Hooi and features 12 other presenters including full-time private practice clinicians, leading University educators, specialist and general practitioners, a dual-qualified solicitor-dentist, and one of Sydney’s most experienced dental ceramists. Personal preferences of our materials, instrumentation and technique complement the evidence-based subject matter. Extended Fixed Prosthodontics 2016 sees the return of specialists from 3 other disciplines (periodontics, endodontics and orthodontics) to discuss the various ways that fixed prosthodontics and their practice come together.

Fixed prosthodontics is an essential component of private general practice and Extended Fixed Prosthodontics 2016 offers the perfect balance of close supervision practicals and comprehensive lecture material.

This course is suitable for general dentists who wish to:

  • Review their knowledge base and practical skills;
