Steven Cohn

Steven Cohn is a specialist endodontist in Sydney. He received both his dental degree and certificate of specialist training in endodontics from Columbia University in New York. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, a Past President of, and Honorary Life Member of, both the NSW & Federal branches of the Australian Society of Endodontology. He was the Editor of the ASE Newsletter from 1982 until 1995, and is the Immediate Past President of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontists.
Steve has taught endodontics at Sydney University and Westmead Hospital at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels since 1979. He is the former Director of Postgraduate Endodontics at Sydney University and is a member of the Committee for Continuing Education in Dentistry. He is a consultant to the Dunvale and Rinn corporations where he has been involved in the development of the Snapex radiography positioning device. He has lectured in Australia, NZ, the USA, Sth America, Europe, Malayasia and Canada. He has published widely in the field of endodontics and dental radiology. In 1993 he was made a Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International for services to endodontic education and in 1995 a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. During 1996 he was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania. In 1997 Steve was made a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy. In 1998 and 1999 he conducted the first training courses in Australia on the use of the surgical operating microscope in endodontics.
