Ken is a dental specialist with dual qualification in prosthodontics and implant dentistry. His clinical services in private practice comprise all facets of prosthodontics including implant, aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry. His professional career spans 23 years and has included general and specialist private practice in Sydney CBD, metropolitan and regional locations. He has also held both public and private hospital appointments. Ken is fortunate to have had the clinical and coursework mentorship of respected specialist, general and hospital practitioners, as well as university academics of all disciplines.
Ken is proud to have serviced the dental profession with a broad range of teaching, advocacy, education event management, and leadership roles. He is the Immediate Past Federal President of the Australian Prosthodontic Society.
Ken joined Continuing Education in Dentistry in 2005 as a presenter for Extended Fixed Prosthodontics (EFP). In 2011, he became Convenor for EFP and joined the Continuing Education in Dentistry Committee. In 2015, Ken became Chair of this Committee, following the retirement of Adjunct Associate Professor Bill Dawes, whom had served in this role since 1996.
In 2016, Ken remains active as convenor and presenter for EFP and as a presenter and mentor for several university courses and external groups. His special interests include management of patients requiring complex rehabilitation, clinical decision support services for dentists.
