Presenters

Yvette Debergue -The Feedback Project
The feedback project provides targeted feedback to large student cohorts enrolled in the LLB and JD at Sydney Law School. It provides ‘forward-looking feedback’ to students in each grade category, and can be used across a range of assessments. Preliminary findings have been overwhelmingly positive and so it is being rolled out across all LLB and JD units at 100 and 200 level in semester 1, 2018.

Dr Yvette Debergue is the Educational Designer at Sydney Law School, working on the Canvas Transformation. She has previously worked at Sydney Nursing School in the areas of e-learning, academic integrity and assessment design. In her spare time, she teaches medieval history.

Lynn Berry - The Sydney Curriculum System
Lynn and team are currently working towards the pilot phase of the Sydney Curriculum system which will enable unit, component and course coordinators to enter pedagogical information. The information will contribute to reports that show curriculum design through ‘grid-like maps’ and how curricula are aligned with the Graduate Qualities. In addition, unit coordinators will be able to generate a unit outline to upload to the LMS.

Lynn Berry is on secondment working as the Curriculum Mapping Lead at Educational Innovation. In her usual role she is a learning experience designer in the Faculty of Engineering & IT. Like many others Lynn fell into learning/education design via a number of pathways; these included interface design for speech applications, administration and training of range of applications including LMSs, and enabler of student learning.

Adam Bridgman - Canvas

Adam will give us a summary of how we are tracking with the Canvas transition and paint the picture of what is to come!

Professor Adam Bridgman is the Director of Educational Innovation Team in the DVC-E portfolio. In his spare time, he is a chemistry lecturer and looks after Indie his spoodle puppy.
