Educational Management and Leadership

Course requirements

To qualify for the award of Master of Education (Educational Management and Leadership), a candidate must complete 48 credit points, including:

  • a minimum of 18 credit points of core units; and
  • a minimum of 6 credit points of capstone units; and
  • a maximum of 12 credit points from outside the Educational Management and Leadership designation.

To qualify for the award of Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies (Educational Management and Leadership), a candidate must complete 36 credit points, including:

  • a minimum of 18 credit points of core units; and
  • a maximum of 6 credit points from outside the Educational Management and Leadership designation.

To qualify for the award of Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies (Educational Management and Leadership), a candidate must complete 24 credit points, including:

  • a minimum of 18 credit points of core units.

Master’s candidates must complete either the Special Project (6 credit points) or the Dissertation (12 credit points), normally in the final semester of enrolment.

Units of study outside the designation

Master’s and graduate diploma candidates may complete up to one (graduate diploma) or two (master’s) units from the list of postgraduate units of study offered by the Faculty.
