Annual Progress Review interviews
All postgraduate research students enrolled in the faculty's Division of Doctoral Studies are required to have their progress reviewed annually as a condition of candidature, and as required by the University. This is called the Annual Progress Review (APR) interview. One round of interviews is held every year, in September/November.
Research Students Guide
This guide is for all higher-degree-research students with the Faculty of Education and Social Work. It aims to provide students with useful information about services, resources and facilities available within the faculty, University and the internet. It also provides information on procedures and policies that are relevant to all postgraduate research students.

Thesis Proposal Meeting Guidelines
This guide is for higher degree research students with the Faculty of Education and Social Work. It aims to provide students with useful information about how to prepare for and what to expect of a thesis proposal meeting. It also provides information about procedures and policies regarding upgrading from a Master of Philosophy to a Doctor of Philosophy. Please read this guide in conjunction with the information provided in the Research Students Guide under ‘Major milestones in your research degree’.
