The Learning Centre assists students to develop the generic skills necessary for learning and communicating knowledge and ideas at an academic level. The centre runs useful workshops for developing postgraduate research skills.
Workshops relevant to higher-degree-research students include:
- Writing up research in the humanities
- Preparing a thesis proposal
- Writing a literature review
- Preparing for postgraduate study – research.
The Learning Centre’s mid-year Postgraduate Research Program is on from 17 June to 12 July. Put this in your diary because it will feature back-to-back workshops specifically designed for the needs of postgraduate students. Other workshops are listed on the Learning Centre's workshops' website, when they become available. All the centre’s workshops come highly recommended by research students from the faculty who have enrolled previously, and all are free of charge.
