Amanda Freeborn

Paper title: “When the changes were announced we were nervous…” Examining the practical impacts of policy changes surrounding admission into undergraduate Education degrees

Amanda Freeborn is a high school English and TESOL teacher and began her PhD candidature in 2016 whilst on maternity leave. She graduated from The University of Sydney in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education (Hons I) and completed her Master of Educational Leadership in 2013. Her doctoral research is exploring the impact of increased admissions requirements into undergraduate Initial Teacher Education degrees on universities and prospective Initial Teacher Education students. Her supervisors are Dr Kelly Freebody and Associate Professor Nicole Mockler.
