Workshop summary

Dr Rui Yang worked at a Chinese university for nearly a decade before commencing doctoral studies at the University of Hong Kong in 1996. He received his PhD from the University of Sydney in 2001. He has taught and researched at Universities of Shantou and Hong Kong in China, and Universities of Western Australia and Monash in Australia. He is now Director and Associate Professor, Comparative Education Research Center, Faculty of Education, University of Hong Kong. He has written extensively in the field of comparative and international education. His current interest is focused on comparative and global studies in education policy, higher education internationalisation, cross-cultural studies in education, and education policy sociology. The presentation will focus on his current research interests. Tea and coffee will be provided, bring along your lunch. Dr Yang will be available for questions and discussion after the presentation.
