The research higher degree and beyond

These talks are aimed at beginning and established researchers interested in developing their understanding of research methods in the social sciences. Staff and research-higher-degree students from across the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences are warmly invited to attend.

These modules are aimed at building useful practical skills for research students as well as sessions that reflect on different aspects of the ‘journey’ of completing a doctorate and becoming a research professional in the humanities.

Sydney School of Education and Social Work provides research training support in the form of these and other free seminars and workshops as part of a process of promoting a vibrant research culture within the school and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences by engaging established and emerging researchers to talk about how they go about their own work with a focus on how they conceptualise and enact the research process.

Interested researchers are welcome to attend any – or all – sessions.
