Qualitative and quantitative research methods

Topics in this series are presented in the form of practical workshops related to specific methods of data collection and analysis, across both qualitative and quantitative domains.

Sydney School of Education and Social Work provides research training support in the form of this and other free modules as part of a process of promoting a vibrant research culture within the school and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, by engaging established and emerging researchers to talk about how they go about their own work with a focus on how they conceptualise and enact the research process.

Interested researchers are welcome at any – or all – workshops but are advised that all four workshops relating to planning conducting and analysing interviews (Semester One); and developing and analysing questionnaires (Semester Two) are regarded as components of a single module, so that attendance at the first workshop requires commitment to all of them.
