This series of workshops runs from March to October 2012. The workshops are designed for higher research degree students who have completed at least one year of a research degree. The focus of the workshops is on writing and structuring a thesis/dissertation. Students will examine passed theses/dissertations, consider the context of their own thesis and get feedback on their writing. The workshops are supported by WebCT.

The aims of the workshops are:

  • To understand expectations of thesis/dissertation writing
  • To write in appropriate academic style
  • To facilitate production of a high quality thesis/dissertation
  • To establish peer support networks for thesis/dissertation writing
