Early-childhood teaching
A degree in early-childhood education is the typical tertiary qualification for work in preschools, day-care centres and kindergartens, which can be independent facilities or affiliated with community groups, schools or hospitals. Graduates are employed as teachers as well as in administration in a variety of roles including centre directors and curriculum advisers.
