Dealing with changes in group composition
Group composition can change for several reasons. This can be disruptive for group members and it is important to be prepared for changes and to help the students deal with them. The group may find that properly handled, changes can bring positive outcomes.
Group composition changes for three main reasons:
- withdrawals from the Unit of Study
- additions to the Unit of Study
- student request to change to a different group
