  • Scholarship Index
  • Australian Learning and Teaching Council

Teaching Improvement and Equipment Scheme (TIES)

In 2005, a review of the Teaching Improvement Fund (TIF) resulted in the amalgamation of TIF with the Sesqui Teaching Equipment Scheme to form the Teaching Improvement and Equipment Scheme (TIES).

TIES consists of two grant schemes: a Small Grants Scheme for applications $10,000 and under; and a Large Grants Scheme for applications over $10,000.

The Learning and Teaching committees of the faculty administer the Small Grants Scheme, in collaboration with the office of the Deputy Provost (Learning and Teaching) and pro-vice-chancellor.

The Large Grants Scheme is administered through the office of the Deputy Provost (Learning and Teaching). When the amount applied for exceeds $50,000, the amount over $50,000 is provided on a dollar-for-dollar basis.

For further information, including this year’s calendar, visit the University of Sydney TIES page.
