The faculty celebrated the achievements of its staff and students at its annual scholarships and prizes evening in MacLaurin Hall on Wednesday, July 28, 2010.
Dean of Education and Social Work Professor Robert Tierney welcomed guests to the evening before presentation of the awards was made by the Chancellor of the University of Sydney, Her Excellency, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO.
The presentation was preceded by an inspiring performance by the faculty choir, which sang the traditional hymns "Ubi Caritas" and "Da Pacem Cordium" followed by the Australian ballad "Where My People Go" by Neil Murray and the traditional Torres Strait song "Inanay Gapawana".
