EdSW dean's welcome to new students

The faculty welcome is an important event to attend, where you will be given vital study and course information, and introduced you to the University's administrative policies and procedures.

You will have the opportunity to meet fellow students and academic staff, and find out about student associations related to your study. If, in addition to the Faculty of Education and Social Work, you are also enrolled with another faculty, we encourage you to attend the other faculty's welcome as well as ours.

  Professor Robert J Tierney is dean of the Faculty of Education and Social Work and an internationally renowned scholar working in the areas of literacy education, educational assessment, teaching and learning. He has been a member of the editorial advisory board of Pedagogies since 2006.
