Professional Learning Partners
13 November 2013
The Sydney School of Education and Social Work's Office of Professional Experience in Education is delighted to invite you to the final Professional Learning Partners (PLP) meeting for 2013.
PLP meetings have been held with our stakeholder schools once a term since 2008 and have developed an important professional dialogue around issues related to mentoring, including responses to the implementation of the Board of Studies, Teaching & Educational Standards and National Professional Standards for Teachers. The meetings are hosted by the school's Director of Professional Experience Dr Tony Loughland, Associate Director of Professional Experience Chris Preston and lecturer in English Kathy Rushton.
This meeting will continue the important relationship the school enjoys with teacher mentors and their schools. Participants will be encouraged to further develop their involvement with our school, and with the University. This one-on-one relationship is imperative to fostering mentoring in host schools especially for preservice and early-career teachers
We value your involvement and thank you for participating in these meetings which help to develop real partnerships between your school and the Sydney School of Education and Social Work at the University of Sydney.
