Finding our homeland: from My Place to Australians All

14 August 2015

This one-day workshop will engage you in a way of thinking that has country at its centre and story as its expression. Please join us for this exploration of our Australian historical, environmental, geographical and artistic past, present and future. For teachers of Stages 2 and 3, this holistic, cross-curricular professional-learning day will address a range of standards across KLAs, including (but not limited to) English, history, geography and the creative arts.

Testimonials from participants in previous workshops:

"Nadia gave an in-depth and structured talk. Practical elements such as 'question time' and 'hands-on activities' allowed us to connect with Nadia's books and understand the importance of Aboriginal understanding."

"Nadia explained how to incorporate all of my expectations into my teaching. Her workshop was fast-paced and interesting, with a mixture of practical activities and some instruction. Nadia taught with quality teaching in mind. She used narrative and background knowledge, using our own stories to enhance the techniques she introduced to us."
