APPROACHES TO DESIGNING, CONDUCTING AND ANALYSING INTERVIEWS FOR RESEARCH

15 March 2016

Researchers conducting qualitative or mixed-methods research often utilise interviews as a primary method of data collection. Although we may have personal experience asking and answering questions across social and professional settings, the process of interviewing research participants involves a complex series of considerations and techniques that extend beyond our typical daily experiences. This presentation and workshop by Dr Matthew Thomas will explore various approaches to designing, conducting, and analysing interviews for research. Participants will consider applications across contexts as well as engage in discussions and applied practice.
