Professional experience (practice teaching) is integral to each of the secondary-school teacher-education degrees offered by The University of Sydney: commencing in Year 3 of the five-year combined BEd, BA and BEd, BSc bachelor's degrees; Year 1 of the four-year Human Movement and Health Education bachelor's degree; and Year 1 of the two-year master's.
The faculty is continually building and sustaining partnerships with schools and centres that offer professional experience placements. Professional learning opportunities are offered to teachers to strengthen their capacity to effectively mentor our pre-service teachers.
