Making Sense of Education Research
AN INTRODUCTION TO RESEARCH METHODOLOGY AND READING RESEARCH PAPERS
Tuesday 15 November 2011 | 9am – 3.30pm
This workshop is designed to give teachers, school executives and others in the education community an introduction to research methodology. It will focus on reading, interpreting and discussing published research papers. The program includes an outline of the framework and procedures involved in research methodology and practical workshops in which participants are guided through the reading, interpretation and critique of two high-impact mixed methods research studies.
This one day 'taster' of the world of research will give participants an understanding of 'what works' in education research and the skills and confidence to read further published research.
