Dr Kang Changyun
Changyun is a professor in the School of Education at Beijing Normal University (BNU), Zhuhai Campus. He has more than 10 years' experience teaching and researching at BNU, where he has organised and facilitated a number of national-level research projects. He also spent five years studying and working at University of British Colombia, Canada. Changyun is a strong advocate for international collaboration and the mobilisation of teacher knowledge and wisdom. His research interests include teacher research, curriculum reform, teaching and learning, portfolio assessment and science-museum learning. He has published more than 40 academic articles, books and book chapters. His recent research project, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council in Canada, focused on the teaching practice in three educational contexts – China, Canada and Australia – with the intention of developing a comprehensive model of student and teacher learning drawing upon ‘complexity theory’.
