Applying for research grants

The Australian Government collects data on the types of research being conducted. When you apply for a grant it is necessary to nominate your research areas using the Fields of Research (FOR) codes. In addition, you will be asked to select the impact area for any research being proposed or undertaken by using the Socio-Economic Objectives (SEO) codes. These codes are part of the
ANZSIC Classification. Further information is available from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
