EEO Responsibilities in Selection Criteria
Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policy requires all managers and supervisors, from both academic and general staff, to support and facilitate equal employment opportunity principles and to implement the University's Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Management Plan. All staff are expected to be aware of EEO/AA Policy and to participate in associated programs as appropriate.
The following guidelines have been developed to assist in determining the level of EEO/AA responsibilities.
In line with this policy and in order to implement the EEO/AA Management Plan, EEO responsibilities are to be included in all advertisements, selection criteria, duty statements and job specifications as applicable. Reference and consideration to EEO should be given in the recruitment and selection of staff. Staff members responsible for the supervision of one or more persons are required to apply these policies in their day-to-day role as supervisors.
