What do I need to use the University LMS?
Staff and students are required to login to the University LMS using their UniKey and Password issued by the ICT department. All University LMS sites are accessible from the 'Login to eLearning' tab on this page or via the following URL: http://elearning.sydney.edu.au
If you experience problems logging in you should synchronise your password.

Supported Browsers for the University LMS (BB Learn)
Blackboard Learn is compatible with a range of browsers on a Microsoft Windows PC and Mac. Below are the supported browsers for the most common PC and Apple Mac Operating Systems. Please update your browser if it is not on the list of supported browsers. We recommend that you install 2 browsers on your computer.

Some newer browsers, such as Opera and mobile browsers are presently not certified by the LMS software. This does not mean that they will not supported, just that the software was designed previous to the browser version, or has not yet been fully tested by Blackboard. Linux users have reported successful use of the university LMS (BB Learn) using Firefox and Chromium browsers.
It is suggested that Mac users update from OSX 10.4 to ensure full compatibility with the University LMS.
Java for eLearning
The University LMS (BB Learn) requires the latest version of Sun JRE 6. The JRE can be downloaded from http://java.sun.com Follow the prompts to check your version of Java. If needed, you will be prompted to install the latest version of Java.
Common Plug-ins Links
Some UoS sites may use browser plug-ins to view Adobe Flash or video files, or to listen to audio files. To view portions of these sites, you may need one or more of the plug-ins below. Browsers will generally automatically download any plug-in required by a particular page. A list of the most common downloads is available for the right hand side menu.
