Mobile Learn app

There are two apps that allow mobile access to learning and teaching resources and other information about the university on a range of mobile devices. One is the Blackboard Mobile Learn app; the other is the University of Sydney app. These both extend and enrich the delivery of your UoS website. The Sydney Uni in an App also provides a local university experience for both staff and students. Depending on your device, you can download both these apps from one of the following marketplaces:

  • iTunes store on your iPhone, iPod or iPad
  • Play Store or the Android Marketplace
  • BlackBerry App World┬« on your BlackBerry┬« smartphone device
  • Palm App Catalog on your HP WebOS device

Mobile Learn app

Mobile Learn is an app that assists staff and students to connect to their Learning Management System (LMS) Unit of Study websites via mobile devices. To access Blackboard on your mobile, download the Mobile Learn App. Once you have downloaded the app, search for the University of Sydney, and log in with your unikey and password.

The following features are natively supported in the Mobile Learn app and translate well to a mobile device:

  • Blogs and Journals
  • Mobile Tests
  • Tasks
  • Grades for students
  • Push notifications
  • Dropbox assignment submission

Stay up to date with the Sydney Uni app

The University of Sydney also maintains a free mobile app that includes features such as important uni dates, maps, access to the library and university events, and a link to the Mobile Learn app.
