If you take part in activities other than those related strictly to one unit of study, you may enrol or be enrolled in an online 'eCommunity'. eCommunity sites provide a space for extra-curricular activity such as clubs and societies or for extensions to your course work. eCommunity lists appear like units of study when you log into the University LMS. Look for the eCommunity tab at the top of the screen.
How to enrol in an eCommunity
There are a number of self-enrolled eCommunities available to students. You can review the list of available eCommunites by choosing the 'eCommunity' tab when you login into the University LMS.
Self-enrollment takes 5mins for the site to be added to your list.
Types of enrolment options
- Open - Students and staff can join and leave this eCommunity through the self-enrolment option
- Open with an access code - open to participants if they know the access code. Participants can choose to leave this eCommunity via the un-enrolment option in their eCommunity tab in the University LMS.
- Request Access - YOu can request access to this eCommunity via email. Access to these eCommunities is at the discretion of the eCommunity leader to approve access.
