Global naviagation in the LMS
Everything you need in your Learning Management System (LMS) is now in one convenient location. The global navigation in the LMS has been enhanced to provide you with quick and easy access to critical information regarding your units of study, eCommunites and interactions from fellow students. You can view your progress in any of your units of study, check your grades, and see upcoming assessment in the calendar.
The Home icon displays an overview of recent activity, announcements, recently graded assessments, and upcoming due dates. Select one of the tool icons in the dropdown menu to access the related page.
How to Access My Home
Select the global navigation link in the page header for access to:
- Access all your recently visited units of study and eCommunities
- From the menu, open tools to view course activity, updates from units you are enrolled in, grades and your calendar.
- Receive notifications of new activity.
- One-click to return to your 'Units of Study' page
- Access online help
My Blackboard Tools
Bb Home: The Bb Home gives you an overview of the items that are due and have recently been graded. Move your cursor over View to reveal your grade. The Bb Home displays the five most recent activities relevant to you.
Posts: This page displays the latest posts in the units of study and eCommunitites you are enrolled in and follow. For example, you can see when a classmate submits a blog post in your unit of study.
Updates: Review a list of notifications alerting you to important events and information. For example, you can see when an assignment has been graded.
My Grades: View your grades for each assignment, test, or activity in all of your units of study. Sort the grades by date or course. You can also access the My Grades page from the tools area of your unit of study (if enabled by your instructor).
My Calendar:Review everything you have due and be reminded of when you need to complete it. You can view events by day, week or month, and can also organise upcoming and past events into categories.
