UniKey Password is not working?

Try these trouble-shooting steps

A UniKey is provided to all Sydney University students by ICT. You will receive a letter with your UniKey and password as part of your university enrollment.

You should change your UniKey password to something you will remember. Remember to log out of all online applications to keep your password secure, particularly when using a public or Access lab computer. If your password is not working, you can ring ICT on ext.16000 or 9351 6000 and request your password is reset. You will need to answer a number of identification questions to ensure correct identification. Alternatively you can take photo identification to an Access Lab on campus and request a password reset.

Login screen is looping or repeating?

If the login screen is looping (refreshing the same screen) when you enter your UniKey details you will need to clear your browser’s cache and cookies. Follow the step-by-step instructions for common browsers, e.g: Internet Explorer/IE, Safari and Firefox.

This will remove dated session information and session cookies from your browser and will remove the error cycle. Internet browsers keep session cookies and temporary files to speed up the browsing experience. Best internet security practice is to remove your browser history and cookies when you close your browser. Most browsers can be set to do this automatically.

Firewalls

If you are trying to access eLearning sites from work or from a hospital, you may need to speak to your local IT person and ask them to enable access to the sydney.edu.au URLs.

Students from other universities

If you are studying a course delivered by the University of Sydney, but are enrolled at a different University, your lecturer or course co-ordinator will provide you with a UniKey and password for eLearning sites and the library. Contact your lecturer if you have not yet received this information.
